A Waterless Sanitation Composting Weekend
October 4–5, 2025

50 persons attend our community workshop entitled“Plan B for Number 2.”  It educated participants about how economical compostable sanitation systems can be important for water conservation, disasters, and septic system failures. Among other give-aways, a local Albion resident won a Loveable Loo waterless toilet!

We met with many visitors at Fort Bragg’s Earth Day Celebration in April that expressed an interest to learn about Meadow Farm’s Vision and Mission to demonstrate climate resilient living and  agriculture right here on the coast.  Members of the Meadow Farm board of directors and volunteers connected with our wider community, exchanged information, danced

Each winter 8-10 community volunteers work in harmony pruning multiple fruit trees.  Education on tools, techniques, and ladder safety is shared by experienced pruners.

Be sure never to miss our annual workshop on making kimchi and sourkraut.  Meadow Farm harvests hundreds of pounds of cabbage each year for donation the Fort Bragg Food Bank.  What remains left is converted to long lasting bottled fermented treats (healthy Kimchi and Sourkraut).

Public Safety Open House More than 20 community members and neighbors celebrated the opening of Meadow Farm’s Emergency Response Operations trailer on March 16, 2024.  Individuals learned how to map their way on trails in and around the “ten-mile” area between Pudding Creek and Ten Mile river.  Members toured our new first aid and communications
